About Church of the Good Shepherd

From our Rector, The Rev. Christina O’Hara -

I am grateful to be the Rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd!  Good Shepherd is the church home that welcomed my family and me when we first moved to Sioux Falls in 2005.  After nearly 20 years of campus ministry, it was here that I began ministry with youth and children.  It was here I first experienced my calling to the priesthood and began discernment.  Good Shepherd hosted my ordination on Dec. 10, 2011.  After 4 years of work as the Curate and then Canon for Lifelong Christian Formation at Calvary Cathedral, I have enjoyed stepping into a new leadership role as Rector.  The Vestry leaders and I welcome involvement from the congregation in our Mission Teams formed around our common life of Worship, Pastoral Care and Outreach, Spiritual Growth, Parish Life, Facilities, and Finance and Stewardship.  We look forward to growing in the knowledge and love of Christ as together we build the Kingdom of God in Sioux Falls.
